In general, a buyer’s agent will guide the buyer in navigating the sometimes choppy seas of real estate through locating active listings and being on the look out for those coming. Since our buyers agents have a combined experience of over 40 years, they have well established connections in the marketplace and often know about listings before most agents even those in larger firms. As your representative, our agents have a fiduciary duty to place your needs above and beyond those of anyone else in the transaction … including their own.

While any agent CAN act as an intermediary for both sides, they probably should think very carefully about that. Intermediary basically means that agent cannot give advise nor opinion to either side … they simply push paper. It is one of the reasons I created a team – no agent on our team acts as an intermediary in a single transaction unless you the client insist upon it. You should never have to sacrifice that right to representation.

We see the job of the buyers agent as helping you find the best possible home to meet your needs at the best possible price, to then negotiate repairs, and alert you to any known issues with the home or the neighborhood. Our agents are required to be consistently educating themselves about local developments so they can best serve our clients.
